Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that works with the body’s connective tissue, or fascia. By applying slow, sustained pressure, MFR helps release restrictions that may be contributing to pain and limited movement. These restrictions can form after trauma, surgery, or inflammation and can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that often don’t appear on standard medical tests like X-rays or MRIs. By softening and freeing the fascia, MFR reduces pain, restores mobility, and helps the body move with greater ease.

What to expect from MFR- Every body responds differently. For some, Myofascial Release feels like a gentle, light pressure, while others notice deeper sensations that ripple throughout the body. You may feel warmth, tingling, or subtle shifts under the surface. Sometimes the body even twitches or makes small, involuntary movements as it naturally “unwinds” and releases long-held fascial tension. Fascial therapy keeps working after your session, with most clients experiencing the greatest results in the 1–2 days that follow.
Fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that weaves throughout the entire body. It wraps around and interpenetrates every muscle, bone, nerve, artery, and vein, as well as the organs—including the heart, lungs, brain, and spinal cord. Rather than being a series of separate coverings, fascia is actually one uninterrupted structure that connects head to toe. Because of this, tension or restriction in one area can influence the rest of the body—much like how pulling on a single thread of a sweater affects the whole fabric.
